For seamstresses, alterations shops & sewing workshops , Loyal customers one hem at a time
A hem, a zip, an outfit for a wedding: your customers come back whenever a garment needs you. Give them a loyalty card in their phone, so that they come back to you rather than to the first express alterations counter they walk past.
Why loyalty matters in an alterations workshop
Once people find a good seamstress, they stick with her: they bring their hems, their jeans, then the whole family's clothes. But visits are spread out, whenever something needs fixing, and in between the customer may try the dry cleaner next door. A loyalty card in their Wallet keeps your workshop in mind and gives them a concrete reason to come back: the free alteration that's getting closer.

Which loyalty type should you choose?
For a workshop that mostly does alterations, stamps are the simplest: one stamp per visit, however many garments, and a small free alteration at the end. The customer can see at a glance where they stand.
Quardy's pick for seamstresses
Stamps: 8 visits = 1 free hem
One stamp each time an order is collected. The reward, a simple hem, costs you a quarter of an hour of work but has real value for the customer (£10 to £15). A cycle of 8 visits is roughly a year for a regular customer.
Example: Sophie brings you a pair of trousers to shorten or a jacket to take in every six weeks or so. After a year, her card shows 8 stamps and her next hem is free. Meanwhile, she has also brought you her sister's bridesmaid dress: loyalty isn't only about the reward, it's about the habit of coming back to you.
Alternative: 5% cashback
If you also do made-to-measure work or occasion wear, amounts vary too much for a fixed reward. 5% cashback on every order is fairer: 60p on a hem, £15 on a £300 dress, to spend on the next order.
How it works in your workshop
-
QR code on the counter
Put your Quardy QR code by the till, or show it on your phone if you work from home. The customer scans it with their phone camera. -
The card is added in 30 seconds
No app to install: the card goes into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. The best moment to offer it is when the garment is dropped off, while you take the measurements. -
A stamp on collection
When the customer comes to collect and pay, you scan their card from the Quardy app. One visit, one stamp, even if they leave with three garments. -
The reward takes care of itself
Their card updates in their phone. When it's full, you both see it: their next hem is free.
Bonus: reminders and gift cards (Pro plan)
With the Pro plan (€9.99/month), you send notifications to customers who have opted in, right when they need you:
- Wedding season: 'A wedding or christening this summer? Get your outfit fitted now, June slots go fast'
- Sales: 'Found a bargain that's a bit too long? Hems done in 48 hours during the sales'
- Back to school: 'School trousers to shorten, knee patches, badges: the workshop is ready'
- Gift card: 'Give an alteration or a made-to-measure piece', sent by email, to use at the workshop
- Automatic: 'It's been a while! A garment waiting for an alteration at the back of the wardrobe?' goes out on its own to customers who haven't been in for 90 days
Frequently asked questions
Do I stamp on drop-off or on collection?
On collection, when the customer pays: that's when the work is done. One stamp per visit is enough, even if they bring several garments. If you'd rather reward by amount, choose cashback: you enter the amount paid and the card is credited with the percentage you chose.
Some of my customers don't have a smartphone. What can I do?
You can add them yourself in the app, with their name or phone number, even on the free plan. They have nothing to install: you find them with the search and stamp from your phone.
I work from home, with no shop. Does it still work?
Yes. Your QR code is in the app: just show your screen to the customer so they can add their card. You can also print it on a business card that you slip in with the altered garment.
How many customers can I manage for free?
50 active customers, with no time limit and no credit card. Beyond that, the Pro plan at €9.99/month removes the limit and adds notifications, gift cards and automatic reminders.
I work with an apprentice or a colleague. Can they stamp cards too?
Yes, with the Business plan (€24.99/month): each team member scans cards from their own phone, and you can see who validated what.
