For hair salons , Your clients come back, not to the salon across the road
A cut every five to eight weeks, a colour now and then: the relationship lasts for years, but it hangs on very little. Quardy puts a loyalty card in your clients' Wallet, and you validate it with a scan at checkout.
Why loyalty matters so much in hairdressing
In hairdressing, a loyal client is worth years of appointments. Visits are spaced out, prices vary widely between a men's cut and a colour with treatment, and the temptation to try another salon comes back every time. A loyalty card gives a concrete reason to rebook with you, and finally tells you who your regulars are.
-
Spaced-out visits
Every 5 to 8 weeks: the cycle must stay short so the reward feels reachable.
-
Very different tickets
From a kid's cut to a full colour: cashback rewards each client in line with what they spend.
-
A personal relationship
Clients choose their stylist as much as the salon: loyalty is also about attention.
Which type of loyalty to choose?
Two good options depending on your clientele. If your services are similarly priced (men's salon, quick cuts), stamps are perfect. If tickets vary a lot (colour, highlights, smoothing), the cashback pot is fairer: each client builds up a share of what they spend, in euros.
Quardy recommendation for hair salons
Cashback: €1 set aside for every €20 spent (5%)
The client having a €90 colour puts €4.50 aside; the one coming in for a €25 cut puts aside €1.25. Everyone is rewarded in proportion, and you don't have to pick a free service that doesn't suit everyone.
Example: Sophie comes every six weeks for a cut and blow-dry, and three times a year for her colour. Over a year her pot passes €25: a nice discount on her next colour, which she has no reason to have done elsewhere. For you, it is 5% returned to a client who spent several hundred euros during the year.
Alternative: stamps for a men's salon
For a salon where the cut is the main service, keep stamps: 6 cuts = the 7th free, or a free treatment. With visits every four to six weeks, the reward arrives in six to nine months.
How it works in your salon
-
The QR code at reception or the station
Put the Quardy poster at reception or on the mirror. While the colour develops, clients have all the time they need to scan. -
The card in the Wallet
They add it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet in seconds, with no app and no account. -
A scan at checkout
You scan the card from the Quardy app and enter the amount of the service: the cashback is calculated automatically. -
The discount when they want it
The client watches their pot grow on the card and uses it whenever they like, on the service of their choice.
Bonus: fill the diary (Pro plan)
With the Pro plan at €9.99/month, you can message clients who agreed to it, on their Wallet card or as a notification. Ideas for a salon:
- Free slots: "A few spots left on Tuesday and Wednesday, book your cut"
- Clients away for 60 days: a ready-made audience for those who should have been back by now
- Parties and weddings: "Updos and styling: book for New Year's Eve"
- Gift card: "Give a cut or a colour, the card lands straight on their phone"
Frequently asked questions
I use a booking app like Fresha or Treatwell. Is it compatible?
Yes. Quardy is independent of your booking tool: appointments stay where they are, and loyalty runs alongside, with no integration.
Several stylists work in the salon. Can they all scan?
With the Business plan (€24.99/month), each stylist has their own access and every visit is logged in their name. On the free or Pro plan, a salon phone or tablet signed in to the owner's account is enough to scan.
I'm moving from paper cards to digital. How do I do it?
Let clients finish their paper cards and offer Quardy at every visit. Our paper vs digital comparison covers the pros and cons of each.
Can I sell gift cards?
Yes, with the Pro plan. Selling an amount rather than a service lets the recipient choose their cut or colour. They receive the card by email and add it to their Wallet; you deduct at each visit. No commission.
What if I also do home visits?
The card works wherever you have your phone. See also our page for mobile hairdressers.
How much does it cost?
Free up to 50 customers. After that, the Pro plan is €9.99/month, no commitment, with unlimited customers, messages, gift cards and customer export.
