Gift cards for your business

You create the card, your customer pays you in store, the recipient gets it by email and adds it to their wallet. You deduct what they spend on each visit. No online payment, no commission.

How it works

Four steps, all from your phone. Nothing to print, no notebook to keep.

  1. 1.

    You create the card

In the app you pick the amount and the validity period: 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 3 years or no expiry. Then you enter the recipient email.

  2. 2.

Your customer pays you in store

Cash, card, cheque: an ordinary sale on your usual terminal. Quardy handles no online payment and takes nothing out of the amount.

  3. 3.

The recipient gets it by email

They receive an email with a QR code and add it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet in two taps. No app to install, no account to create.

  4. 4.

    You deduct on each visit

They show you the card, you scan it and enter what they spent. The remaining balance updates on its own in their wallet. A card that hits zero closes itself.

What changes compared with a paper voucher

Paper vouchers have three flaws that a digital gift card fixes.

  • A balance, not a fixed amount

On a €50 paper voucher, a €32 purchase forces you to give change or write the rest down somewhere. Here you deduct €32 and the remaining €18 show up in the recipient wallet. Which means a second visit.

  • Impossible to forget

A paper voucher ends up in a drawer. The gift card lives in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, next to the bank card and the train tickets. The recipient always finds it.

  • No commission

Quardy handles no payment: your customer pays you directly. You keep 100% of the amount, where gift card platforms take a percentage on the way through.

  • Validity you control

You set the period when you issue the card. And if one expires before the recipient found the time to come in, you can extend it from the app rather than turn them away.

What it costs

Gift cards are included in the Pro plan at €9.99/month, along with push campaigns and unlimited customers. No fee per card issued, no commission on the amounts: you keep everything. The free plan covers loyalty for up to 50 customers, but not gift cards.

Frequently asked questions

Does Quardy take a commission on gift cards?

No, none at all. Quardy handles no payment: your customer pays you in store, through whatever method you already accept. You keep 100% of the amount, and issuing a card costs nothing per unit. Only the Pro subscription at €9.99/month applies.

Does the recipient need to install an app?

No. They get an email with a QR code and add it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, which are already on their phone. No Quardy account to create, no app to download.

Can a gift card be used over several visits?

Yes, and that is the whole point. On each visit you scan the card and enter what was spent. The remaining balance updates automatically in the recipient wallet. When it reaches zero, the card closes.

What happens when a card expires?

You choose the validity when you issue it: 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 3 years or no expiry. If an expired card comes back to you, you can extend it from the app rather than turn the customer away.

What if the recipient never got the email?

You can resend it from the gift card screen, including to a different address if the one entered at the start was wrong.

Do I need a terminal or any special hardware?

No. Your smartphone is enough: you create the card and scan the recipient QR code from the Quardy app. Your takings stay on your usual terminal.
