For at-home practitioners , A loyalty card with no shop, no paper
You work from home, with no shop or office. Your customers add their card by scanning your QR code (on your phone, on a business card or on your portable massage table). No printing, no equipment — just your smartphone.
The challenge for mobile therapists: loyalty without a venue
When you work from home, you don't have a counter for a display, no shop window for a poster, no space to manage a stack of paper cards. And yet your business rests entirely on customer loyalty: a customer who comes back for a 3rd visit is statistically a customer for 2-3 years. Quardy solves this with the smallest possible footprint: everything in your phone.
-
Zero equipment
No display, no cards, no printer. Just your smartphone.
-
Strong natural retention
A customer who loves your work comes back. A loyalty card just speeds up the cycle.
-
High average spend
£55 to £110 per session — the ROI on a free reward is fast.
Which loyalty type should you choose?
For a mobile practitioner, stamps are often more engaging than cashback: they create a concrete, visible goal ('only 2 sessions to go before a free treatment'). Cashback works too, but it asks the customer to calculate what they've accumulated.
Quardy's pick for mobile massage therapists
Stamps: 6 sessions = 1 short session free
A short cycle (6 visits) to keep motivation visible. The reward is a short session (30 minutes) rather than a full one: it stays manageable for you financially and feels meaningful to the customer.
Example: Léa comes to you every 3 weeks for a Californian massage (£75). In 4-5 months, she has collected 6 stamps. She receives a free 30-minute back massage. She's delighted, she tells her cousin. From your side, you've given up 30 minutes of your time in exchange for a customer locked in for 2 years and a free word-of-mouth referral.
Alternative: 8% cashback
If your customers prefer something more flexible (they don't all come at the same pace, some for a long massage, others for a short treatment), 8% cashback works very well too. With an average spend of £75, they accumulate about £6 per session.
How it works for a mobile practitioner
-
Show your QR code to your customer
Either from your phone (open the Quardy app, show the screen), or from a laminated business card you keep in your bag, or from a sticker on your portable massage table. -
Your customer scans with their camera
Every recent iPhone and Android phone recognises QR codes natively from the camera. In 2 taps, their card is added to their Wallet. -
At the end of the session, validate the visit
Before you leave, you ask your customer to open their card in their Wallet. You scan it from the Quardy app. The session is logged. 10 seconds max. -
The stamp is added automatically
The stamp counter (or cashback balance if you picked that mode) updates in the customer's Wallet. When they reach the reward, you see it in your app and so do they.
Bonus: re-engagement and personalised messages (Pro plan)
One decisive advantage for a mobile practitioner is being able to reach out to quiet customers without coming across as salesy. With the Pro plan (€9.99/month), you send push notifications to customers who have opted in to receive them:
- Back to school in September: 'September is here — fancy a massage to ease the pressure? Slots open until 30 September'
- Stressful periods: 'Exams, moving house, hectic period? A 1-hour massage can really help — I have 2 slots left this week'
- Cold season: 'With the cold weather back, special hand and back treatments — 10% off this week for loyal customers'
- Gift card (Pro plan): 'Give someone a session they badly need — gift card sent by email, validity up to you'
- Automatic: "It's been a while! Fancy a session to release the tension?" goes out on its own to customers who haven't visited for 45 days
Frequently asked questions
I don't have a physical QR code — how do I do it the first time?
The simplest way: open the Quardy app on your phone, go to your QR code, and show the screen to your customer who scans it with their own phone. It works perfectly. You can also print a small QR code on a business card you carry with you.
What if I visit care homes or nursing homes?
Quardy works as soon as your customer has a recent smartphone (or someone in their family has one for them). For very elderly people, it's often the son or daughter who manages the phone — the loyalty card can be added to their Wallet instead, which works just as well.
I get paid in cheque, cash or bank transfer — does Quardy handle that?
No, Quardy doesn't handle payments. You keep your current method. Quardy only handles loyalty (cards, stamps, points, cashback). It's a complementary layer to your existing payment process.
I'm a sole trader — the Business plan at €24.99 isn't for me?
Correct, you don't need it. The Pro plan at €9.99/month is plenty for an independent practitioner. The Business plan is designed for businesses with several employees who scan cards.
How many customers can I manage for free?
50 active customers. For most mobile practitioners just starting out, that's enough. When you go beyond 50 loyal customers, it means your business is up and running — that's the moment to switch to the Pro plan at €9.99/month.
How does a gift massage work with Quardy?
It's a very popular gift, and the Pro plan handles it end to end. You create a gift card worth one session (or three), with the validity period you choose. The recipient gets it by email, adds it to their wallet and calls you to book. At the session you scan and deduct: if there's a balance left, they'll come back to use it.
