Shared program or separate programs: which to choose?
Choose a shared program if your customers see a single venue or a single brand: they earn everywhere. Choose separate programs if each location has its own brand and customers. This choice is made when the organization is created, and it's final.
The difference in one sentence
With a shared program, the customer has a single balance, valid at all your locations. With separate programs, each location has its own customers, rules and balances.

Choose a shared program if…
- Customers come for a venue: food court, food hall, covered market.
- All your locations carry the same name: restaurant chain.
- You want the reward to be claimable anywhere.
A shared program requires agreeing on a single set of rules, and on how rewards are funded between locations.
Choose separate programs if…
- Your brands each have their own identity: restaurant group.
- Average spends are too different for a common reward.
- Each location must keep its customers and balances, for example in a franchise.
Three questions to decide
- Does the customer think they’re visiting you, or one of your locations? You: shared program.
- Does the same reward make sense everywhere? No: separate programs.
- Could a location leave the group with its customers? Yes: separate programs.
And the card?
The card is a second setting, and it can be changed at any time. With a shared program, it can be single or in each location’s own colors. The customer keeps their shared balance either way. The three operating modes are presented on the Quardy Business page.
Frequently asked questions
Can we change our mind later?
No. The program is chosen when the organization is created, and it's final. The card, on the other hand, can be changed at any time.
Does the price change depending on the choice?
No. It's €15 per active location per month, from 4, in both cases.
Can we see shared customers with separate programs?
Yes. The dashboard shows customers who visit several of your locations, even with separate programs. Only the path between locations is reserved for the shared program.
Which choice for a food court?
The shared program, in almost every case: customers come for the venue, and they should earn at every stall.
Which choice for a franchise?
Separate programs if each franchisee must keep their customers and balances. A shared program if the brand wants the card to work across the whole network.
